Default Could I use Halfords 5W30 fully synth in....

Could I use halfords 5W30 fully synthetic "ford" oil in a 1996 1.2 Corsa? Doing an oil change for my girlfriends sister. Would normally use 10W40 but the 5W30 Ford stuff is up for a tenner in Halfords. It says for "Fords and some Volvos after 2006" so obviously has some additive in it? Will it be ok? Any advice welcome.

Cheers,

Gordy

Most ford oils aren't the best and a "...-W30" is way too thin. A good 0W-40 will be much safer allround oil and it's not that expensive on eBay etc.
