Hi still ant got it in yet, nearly ready though I think

Can anyone tell me which crank sensor should I use? There's one on the scrapyard-Zetec I'm fitting which I assume (hope) works...then there's the one from the 1.4 cvh I got the efi flywheel from, or the one on the car at present (1.1 xflow). The only one I know is working is the one on the car at the moment so I'd use that but will it fit on the Zetec and work ok with the cvh flywheel?

mine uses the zetec sensor with the cvh efi flywheel

 

Ta guess I'll go with the Zetec sensor then, unless my 1.1 one is a straight swap, just don't want to have to have the gearbox & flywheel off and buy another set of flywheel bolts if it's faulty

...or (not wanting to tempt fate) do these sensors ever actually go wrong & need replacing?

 

Yes they do, but not often (unless debris gets in the box/someone damages it when removing/putting on the gbox).
