Default cosworth cylinder head

Hello to all,i just bought one cylinder head for one friend of mine 2wd version,this head is new made and have work it on a car about some months,so i noticed,there is not the bronze ring with the little ball ,it is empty,so is that problem? does anyone know? thanks in advance

Yes it stops the head draining oil hence the bearing.

im sure a machine shop could make a bung up and press it in with a ball bearing.
