Default Which oils???

Just a quicky, but what engine oil does everyone recommend for my '92 69k saph coss 4x4 , as i can get silkolene fully synthetic, to the same grade and spec as what ford recommend, at very good price.

Also what diff oil (spec/grade)

and Gearbox oil for the MT75?

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

P.S i have a technicians manual on it's way soon, but thought i would ask anyway!!!!

I don't know if those are availible there, but the best engine oils on the market I know are:

-Castrol TWS Motorsport
-Motul 300V Competition

the latter being less recomended for everyday use.

Differential oils I use recomended by people from Castrol Poland are:

-gearbox - SMX-S
-transfer - Transmax Z
-diffs - SAF-XO (in Poland very rare, I got it from BMW dealership at last)

I heard something about great diff oils form Redline? or simmilar named company. They produce something like 80W140 diff oil for really abused diffs

This one is mineral oil. Syntetic alternate is Transmax Z. Castrol people tell me it's MUCH MUCH better.

Hmm in Poland RS is being phased out and TWS Motorsport originally developed for BMW M3 is taking it's place. It's better, that I can say from experience from a number of turbocharged and abused cars.

SRF is just great but absurdly expensive.

I was told by a number of oil people that SAF-X/SAF-XO/SAF-XJ is better for diffs then TAF-X but can't be sure what's best for a Cossie.

Engine Oil: Castrol RS 10W 60 or Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W 50.

Have never used the Mobil 1 but am told it is nearly as good as the Castrol.
