Can somone please shed some light on this problem?
This car is really starting to annoy me now. Could it be the metering unit possibly?
Someone mentioned something about a warm start valve. where is this situated on the car?

take it it to power enginering and ask for merv he looks like a surfer so he is easy to spot!

Save messing about changing everything could end up being cheaper getting the professionals to look at it.

Could be timing fuel staration etc

Hard to say with out seeing hearing it

Are you sure you not just banging it off the limiter popping out flames!!!!

merv is no longer at p.e sounds like the overboost is cutting in, is the car chipped? if not u can only run 10 psi max otherwise the revs will cut and u u get a pop out of the exhaust followed by a puff of black smoke, if u wanna try a tuner madevelopments are in berkshire, thats where im going next

hope this helps kev

Evening

If you are running an amal valve try unplugging it, had a similar sounding problem. Give it a whirl see what happens.

Cheers guys. The car is chipped. Where would the amal valve be? don't know much about the cvh engine. Anyone know of a good tuning place not far from me?
I live in Hereford. Want it set up on a rolling. I changed plugs, leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap. Still doing it but not as much. Still doing my head in too lol. I'm gonna try n bridge fuel relay to see if that might be the problem. Any advice would gratefully recieved. Thanks again guys. Been a massive help.

Cheers sm. I'll give it a go n see how it goes. If it does stop after doing this i take it i'll need another amal valve then? More expense lol.

there about 40 quid from fords, u could repalce it with a bleed valve (there about 12 quid) and set it up to the boost ur were running on the amal valve, just dont be tempted to wind it out for more boost as ur engine will go BANG

cheers kev
