Please help with fault code
Hi all, First post on here but have been using the site for a few months fixing the car.
Have a 2004 Mondeo 2.0l 130
The car was smocking so after looking on here I cleaned and eventually changed the EGR valve and pipe from intercooler to EGR valve.
Then the next day the car started running rough so changed the fuel and air filter and ran a tank of BG244 through the fuel but it didn't help.
Next I want out and brought a F-Super 2 and in has come up with the code PD251.
After looking on here it looks like it may well be the injectors but these were all refurbished just over 2 years ago so could this be the case?
The wife (who's car it is) then tells me the car has been going into limp home mode for a few months now but a flick of the key corrects it.
I ordered a 21mm window injector removal tool which should be here tomorrow but would you believe it, today the car has now decided not to start at all.
I have looked into the engine (where you fill the oil) and can see the engine turning.
I have seen a FLOW METER AND ADAPTOR SET FOR COMMON RAIL DIESEL TEST KIT on eBay for £30, is it worth getting one to see if it is the injectors or is this likely to be the pump failing or maybe a sensor.
I am getting a little frustrated with the whole thing now and just want to scrap the car so any help/advise would be great.

Well got 3 out and the 4th was a pig and took me two days and brought a puller kit in the end which got it out in 15 seconds lol
My question is: if these injectors come back ok would my next point of call be high pressure fuel pump, pickup pump or something else?
