hi ,hope someone can help with this ,1997 mk 4 fiesta wont start i can get ignition lights but wont turn over ive checked all fuses and starter all fine diagnostic guy got a code about receiver out of range he seems to think its the transponder ring on the barrel can i just get another ignition barrel+ring+key for it to work or do i need ecu as well any advice would be much appreciated,cheers

 

If its the transponder ring or chip why you try to start the car the red light on the clock will stay solid red, Yes you can use different transponder rings but only from a mk4 to be safe. (i had massive headaches running mk5 stuff on a mk4)
