I hope somebody can help me before i go mad, last week i broke the chip in my only key, so i took a key,transponder pats, steering lock from a running car, and now it still wont start i found this on a website.

1 : 3 Key code not received is the key obscured, try again with different key, key may be damaged/faulty 1 : 4 Partial code only received is the key obscured, try again with different key, key may be damaged or faulty 1 : 5 Key not programmed to PATS Programme key 1 : 6 Faulty link between PATS and EEC v module check with FDS2000

I have 1-5 key not programmed to pats, how do i program this? it is weird because yesterday i took a work pats and key from a running car and when put on my car it dont work????

someone please help me

 

I have got hold of another fiesta, so all i need it take off is the key and pats unit is that right?????? or is there another little box somewhere else

as far as I'm aware the key is matched to the ecu and pats ring

 

Yup, think you need to change the ECU too. the transponder ring around the ignition barrel just reads the key then sends the code to the ecu.
