xr2/rst bottom end question

Default xr2/rst bottom end question

hi there I have just joined the site I have a quantum saloon kit car which I want to turbo at the moment it has a standard fiesta xr2 engine box ect but what im wondering is is there much diffrence from an xr2 bottom end to a rst fiesta or escort if not is it possible to use he top end loom every thing and keep the xr2 bottom its only done a genuine 34.000

any help welcomed thanks.

Turbo blocks have returns for the oil from the turbo and also different pistons to give a lower comp, will be much easier to just swap your bottom end for a turbo one and be far cheaper.

xr2 as it carb'd engine ? then no fit a frst complete engine (efi,no hole for crank sensor in xr2 block ) if it was a xr2i engine you had then it would be different

dam yea its carbed thanks guys im kind of on a shoe string budget at the moment going to try buy things slowly and build it up from there with help of course thanks guys
