Default ST170 juddering when accelerating, Ideas?

Hi,

First post on this forum, so please be nice!

My other half has just recently bought a 53 plate ST170, which seems in really good nick considering age etc, however I noticed that when it comes under heavy acceleration (only tried 2nd/3rd gear, was only round the block) it suffers from a "judder" - but not like clutch judder, it seemed to almost be a misfire but not sounding like one?

It runs fine under normal acceleration, only when booting it

Quick digging around the net seemed to make me think a faulty fuel pump, but wanted to see if anyone on here has more ideas?

Im pretty handy with BMW & Volvo's, but not so much with Ford, so appreciate the help

Cheers

Default Fuel pump

The juddering in this case is most likely the fuel pump however check the plugs because most garages fit the 2.0 zetec plugs and not the dedicated ST170 plugs.

Good luck
