Default HELP! 87 s2 RST Engine cutting out prob....

Hi ppl got a bad prob that when the engine's warmed up and idle is running nice and steady if I load the engine (either say going up a hill or more likely just floor it to waste some shopping trolley driver) and then dip the clutch to change gear but leave it pressed the engine drops to about 200 rpm then stalls.
Now this isn't a great problem for me as I expect it to happen so can get some power in quick to stop it but it's a nightmare for the wife who won't drive it 'cos at each junction it looks like she's a numpty female driver who stalls it all the time!

Now i've also noticed that from cold the engine's now being a pig to get going in the morning when it used to fire up 1st turn.

Been told maybe fuel pump but the car doesn't seem low on power when booted which i'd expect if pressure was low...dunno no expert i'm afraid.

Any help would be nice!

regarding the starting, first try disconnecting the cold start valve, see how it starts then.

regarding the stalling, the chances are you have an air leak somewhere, check all your hoses and the gaskets around the inlet manifold, rocker cover etc...
