Mondeo 2.0 Silvertop and Escort RS Turbo S2 Box into Fiesta Which Clutch
I am fitting a Mondeo 2.0 Silvertop engine with an Escort RS Turbo S2 Gearbox into a Mk3 si Fiests which has a 1.6 Silvertop Engine.
I know there are a number of well published mods to make the engine fit into the Fiesta and these include the need to change the flywheel.
I was intending to use my 1.6 Silvertop flywheel but I want to fit a new clutch at the same time, I might be able to obtain a new Escort RS Turbo S2 clutch but I don't know if it will work with my flywheel.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

what management are you using? your probably safer using a fiesta rs turbo flywheel and a clutch to suit. your original flywheel may be perfect for the job but i cant confirm it.

Flywheel
I don't know the diameter of my 1.6 flywheel until I have taken the engine out of the Fiesta and I don't have and Escort RS Turbo flywheel.
My problem, apart for the above, is that I have the chance of buying an almost new Escort RS Turbo clutch before I take out my Fiesta engine, I am trying to take the opportunity of getting this but it will be a pain if it doesn't fit the 1.6 zetec flywheel.

Dave not Claire.
A quick google says the si has a 220mm clutch. I used a frst/xr2i fw on mine as ey are lighter. Just needs the crank fixing bolt holes opening up. Think it was .5 mm

I have used a 1.8 and 1.6 zetec flywheel with 2.0l blacktop so silver top should be the same. have also used RS Turbo clutch which is OK but can slip when really pushed.
Flywheels have to be from Focus, Escort, Fiesta range, i.e. to fit inside an IB5 box bellhousing and have the crank trigger pick up. Just don't use a Mondeo flywheel, it won't fit inside the box.
Good luck
sorry just re-read, RS Turbo is BC gearbox I think ? but same theory applies, Mondeo flywheel is too big !
