getting a bit worried about the amount of oil my sapphire is using. i do on average 5-600 miles a month ,if i stay sensible with the loud pedal then it uses minimal amounts half a litre at most. however if i give it some heavy throttle a few times in the month i can use easliy 2 litres of oil over the miles. is this normal for a stage 2 (greens -31 330 chip etc) 68k engine?

i'm tempted to be thinking turbo as it uses so much more when it's running plenty of boost but it's my first cossie so i'm a little worried about it.

anyone give me a peace of mind or do i start saving now?

id say thats fine mate i wouldnt be worried to be honest ive heard the YB was designed to use some oil

If the turbos burning oil mate you should get signs of smoke out the back, plus check the pipe from turbo to cooler as that will be full of oil if the turbo is on its way out!

the owners manual states that you can expect to use up 1 litre of oil in 620 miles depending on driving style and thats for a standard engine
