i have 3 1.8 cvh sierra. im trying to wire the rave limiter. there is a yellow and green wire, a red and green wire and a black wire coming from the coil pack. there is a black white and red on the rave limiter. the instructions are "Connect as follows black wire to earth red wire to coil +Terminal white wire to coil _ terminal. any idea what is the terminal + and Terminal_ is coming from the coil pack??

Bud look at you coil it has 2 push on plugs 1 smaller than the other it will have a +&- next to each plug i think the bigger 1 is + smaller is -

you need to get the focus correct on the camera before you post any more blury pics up

i'm sure we can help you but first we need to see what engine it's got fitted to it and on that age of sierra it may have a cat fitted so it will have different wiring (the cat cars came with coil packs in some cases) so it's all a bit up in the air until we see a pic of your coil if it's the standard one or the coil packs (if it's got them fitted)

don't mean to sound harsh, just it is

 

And we still need to know your preferred BPM as you might not need to limit your rave.

Why would you even bother on a 1.8 cvh they dont even rev well with those naff roller cam followers

sure they have a limiter as std prob around 6250 rpm your rev counter will have a dot on it were it is.

Find a very long road and in 2nd try to reach it if it judders then it has one. if not you have just wasted half hour trying to get there.

Then you may not be able to wire one in if its not designed to run with coil packs
