Hi Guys,

Got a bit of an odd problem, sometimes when accelerating the car pulses or surges. This seems to happen after long periods at open throttle , such as going up a national speed limit 14% hill near my house.

I have also noticed a distant whirring noise that accompanies this and when the acceleration pulses away, a noise like a wastegate noise, not a whooshing one, but a light chirrup noise.

I cant work this out, so any bright ideas would be much appreciated!!

Is it metallic sound .. bit like thin metal vibrating? .... i had strange sound when accelerating and have just found a split intercooler hose ... a guy in my local garage knew the noise instantly. Only happened when the car was under load.

yeah, it is that sort of sound, i would have said like a dry bearing noise, ill try havimg a search around the piping at the weekend to see if incan find anything, thanks for your help!
