Is it possible to bolt the 8v sohc engine mounts to an 8v dohc and it sit in the correct position?

Basically im going to do the dreaded. And chuck in the dohc in my capri instead of the sohc. Ive had this sohc for 2 years and its never been right, Fed up to fuck of myb8v pinto. Cost me £50 to do 48 miles in fifth gear at a steady 60mph. I cannot get this engine right for love nor money. My 8v granada runs like clockwork. And never misses a beat. It has a massive amount of miles on the clock a whopping 286000 and its been rebuilt and servicred. Its still like new. I fucking love it. 90mph down the M50 pulling a trailer. Still pulling 36mpg.
