Default Kuga remote keyfob intermittent fault!

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to the forum and would Appreciate some advice. I have a 2008 58 Kuga which is a cracking family car apart from an intermittent fault I keep having with the keyfob/central locking! I can approach the car and try to unlock the car with the keyfob but nothing happens apart from the dash info screen illuminates! Then I can come back an hour later and the system works perfectly. Also if I unlock the drivers door with the key, the other doors don't open and the alarm goes off constantly, even if I start the car straight away with the key. I have changed both keyfob batteries and I don't think it's any kind of interference because it's happened at a few different locations! The car must be receiving a signal because the dash light illuminates but no doors open! It's starting to get annoying!
One thing I have noticed is that it seems to happen when it's damp/cold! Any ideas people! Your help would be much appreciated!
Cheers
