cossie brakes for rs turbo

Default cossie brakes for rs turbo

Hi
im thinking about putting cossie brakes onto my turbo but am bit confussed with what i have bin told, one that the 2wd 4 pot calipers will not fit and that the 4x4 slider type fit straight on and are the better ones to go for please advise me on waht the best way to go is

4x4 ones do go straight on u may have to use some washers also to centralise them so the discs sit straight!

2 w/d 4 pots do fit also but u have to have brackets made for them to fit on correctly.

I use Escort/Saph 4*4 calipers and 2wd Sierra disc's and they're spot on even on hot track days. I also use Mintex 1144 pads and DOT 5 fluid.

The calipers need 1mm spacing washers under the mounting faces to centralise them to the disc's and apart from that they go straight on.

I had a chat with a friend who'd fitted 2wd Cossie calipers to his S1 and he'd had to machine metal off the hubs etc and it sounded like he wished he'd gone for the 4*4 calipers.

It's transformed my car, I'm sure that you wouldn't be disappointed.
