Hi.. New here and have actually got a ford based kitcar which is running a cossie rear axle.. I am led to believe it is from a 2wd and maybe RS500 but am unsure.. It has a 7.5" lsd diff and 108" cv joints but the problem I have is that I managed to bend an arm with a closer than comfort encounter with an armco barrier on a track day
I have managed to buy a replacement arm from North yorks cossie breakers but it is the wrong one.. Mine has a 30mm thick mounting casting were the hub bolts too and the one which was sent has a 20mm one.. Does anyone know what arm I have please?
Thanks

You have a few options. You could wait for the correct one to turn up, you could fit a 10 mm spacer plate to make the thickness correct. Make sure its welded and threaded or you could get another thick one and move the anti roll bar mount to the correct side. They are welded on at the manufactures.

The Granada mk3 basically has the same rear arms, but have a thicker casting for the hubs because the run a wider track. The arms you need may well be from a Granada mk3, but I am not sure what you mean with that the arb mounting is on the outer edge of the arm. The mk1 Sierra had it on the outside, the mk2 Sierra and mk3 Granada had it on the inside, next to the brake pipe bracket.

The arms I have have deffo got the ARB fixings on the outer edge of the arm and has the thicker castings as per Granada mk3.. I managed to find a brand new Granada Mk3 arm off ebay which fits perfectly but has a lesser camber angle (which really isn't an issue) so I need to find one to match for the other side... That's the issue with kit cars I guess lol
