Default Slight bit of mayo on oil cap

Keep noticing somthing on my corsa B (1.4) which seems a bit mis leading.

Usually I drive the car to college and back (about 10 mins across a dual carrage way) and probably do 5 - 6 other mile trips during the day, the cars temp gauge usually gets to about 90, maybe just under, unless im sat in traffic.

Change the exhaust gasket about a week ago I checked the filler cap and noticed there was a couple of dabs of yellow around the top of the cap, not taken it off and gone 'oh for f*&k sake'. Rubbed it all off and went out for a bit, came back and there was nothing on it. First time I noticed it though there was condenation dripping off the lid. Since then ive checked it and sometimes theres been a bit more and somtimes nothing, but every time there seems to be a lot of water on the top of the cap. The coolant itself seems fine so no water seems to be mixing? It is loosing water but it is leaking from a seal on the temp sensor, I havent topped it up yet but it seems every so slightly lower than normal?

Is this somthing to be worrying about? As I say its not massive amounts just little bits, it comes an goes, I checked my mates car (same car same engine) and his was just black?

This is about as bad as it gets.

Don't worry fella there common for it . the beather system on the 8v engine is shite. As long as it's not using water or oil then it's fine. I assume you do a lot of short ish trips ?.

It'll just be condensation, it's not getting warm because of the short journeys. You should see the cap on my Escort in the winter, 9/10 you'd of said the headgasket has gone by looking at that, but it's fine in the summer

Yeah manily short trips, to and from college, to an from mates houses but no like 30 40 mile trips usually. Il have to sort the small leak from the radiator, but even now ive never had to top it up. Oil level seems the same as always. I had a look down the breather pipe that goes into the inlet and it was clean as anything!

Cheers Load of my mind anyway
