Default Advice on megasquirt

Hi everyone after a bit of advice on a stand alone ecu for my 2.1 zetec turbo.

Basically I'm thinking of running a megasquirt set up but not sure which one to go for?

Has anyone recently done the conversion themselves and could shed some light on the subject?

Are the base maps easy enough to get hold of and install ?

Also do I have to run megasquirt sensors?

Hi

If you really want to go the MS route you best go and check www.mtechautomotive.co.uk
KarlosG on the forum here also know a fair bit of MS.
The sensors from ford or vauxhall can be used so check the www.msefi.com lot of answers there.

Or the route i would go speak to Jano @ oddkiddcreations.co.uk for weber management
as its proven to work with lots of OEM+ parts and not that expensive IMO.

Hey bud i'm curent in the middle of getting my shit together to MS my cossy . With regard's to base maps theres plenty on maps that will get the car running so you can start to alter your fuel and spark tables to something like but i wouldn't recommend trying to drive the car on it . As for sensors MS is designed with GM sensors in mind which are easy to get hold of however it is possible to use ford sensor's but takes a little fucking about . have a mooch at www.boostmonkey.co.uk . It's run by Rob from here Rob_DOHC . He knows his shit and will be able to steer you in the right direction . Dependent on what managment you currently have he may even be able to sort you out with a PNP unit .
