Default Centre Rear Seatbelt Question

The centre rear seatbelt in my MK II Mondeo ST200 needs replaced before MOT time as I think it'll fail due to being frayed in one area (about the size of a thumbprint).

Does anyone know if a centre belt from a MK II estate , or a MK III centre belt will fit straight in, as I've seen just 1 MK II one but it's £90 but I can get either of those mentioned for cheaper.

Any help appreciated.

Andy.

Cut the frayed bits off and tidy the edges up with a lighter. That's what the MOT tester told me to do with the driver's seat belt on my mondeo which had a 6" frayed piece. I did it just to get it through the MOT but replaed it afterwards.

Yeah, I've did the lighter trick. It's tidied it up a bit, and my MOT's not until April, so I might call in where I get it done and ask if it would fail.

If he says yes, I'll have to get looking, but was just wondering what my options were should I defo need to swap it. And I hear the cloth has to come off the seat to get to it

Cheers,

Andy
