Hi Guys, you have provided some great answers so far, here is my next riddle, on my dash i cant see how much petrol i have, no mileage, no speed or temp guage readings, read manual changed 2 fuses both 7.5 amp for instrument cluster, now i have half petrol tank not going to zero when i switch engine off, temp guage goes to half then closes down when engine is switched off, still no mileage showing and the o/d button also not working,,,again many thanks in advance

It sounds like you have a faulty dash, this is a common problem and even had a "Watchdog" feature back in the day, as it has the exact symptoms you mention, bar the O/D button, and the fact it blew two fuses, tbh not knowing the Autos, I don't know what the former could be.

The only cure is to replace the cluster, unfortunately!
