Default Tech Help needed....pleeeeze

My series 2 has struggled to get to 50 degrees C for a week now and I know its not the gauge coz the heater is luke warm.I put a new thermostat in it today and nothing has changed.Any ideas fellas.Any help would be most appreciated.

Try flushing your coolent system out. The heater matrix on them tends to clog up.

Worked with mine.

Cover the rad with cardboard, just to see if the temp goes up, if it does,you
know its just because its fookin freezin out side, hth

Said this before in another thread .. Check the outlet elbow to the heater supply pipe is not blocked up by scale. You may need a drill bit and/or wire to do this.
I found two like this, both CVH engines with angled elbows.

surely it cant be clogged coz the gauges x2 are showing a low temp and i can touch the pipes with my hand when its been running.I stuck a new thermostat in it and its made no difference?Its bloody freezin at three in the mornn.
