hi new to this site. just bought a 2003 ford fiesta 1.6 zetec with duratec written on the plastic engine cover. was told by owner that it was chain driven and not belt. but i have read else where its belt not chain, confused. can anyone say for definate what it is and is there a easy way to see for myself without taking things off, thanks.

It's a belt.
Nice use of search function and good first impression to the site.
