hi, i am currently restoring a mk1 for escort 13GT, but the engine i m using is a standard 1.3 711m, will the GT rev counter work on a non GT engine and does the clock connect to the distributor alternator or crank??

 

Rev counter connect to coil iirc

 

when i was 6 dialling mk1 vans for my mates the wire was normally there it goes to negative on the col
