Focus Mk1 TDDI - Hose from EGR to ?... splitted.
Yesterday i changed the cabin filter on my "new" Focus Mk1 1.8 TDDI.
Today as i drove i was missing power.
It will accelerate but a bit sluggish.
After oil change, some driving in town with A/C i
felt the engine pulls differently.
I remembered from a thread here about TDDI loosing power
that a sensor could be unplugged unwantingly so i took a look.
A small/thin hose running from the EGR to intercooler sensor (?not sure if that is?) was snapped/cut in two.
For illustration here a picture i found online of an EGR with that hose:
Where does it ends and what does it control?
Is it an easy job for a mechanic to fix it without looking
for dedicated OEM hose?
I had the impression the hose run very close around
the top element (EGR valve?) which was hot.
Could this damage the hose?
There is possibility that i somehow snapped the hose while
doing the polen filter or while i was trying to reach the
fallen screwdriver bellow the air filter ...
Thanks in advance.
Igor

Ok, fairly simple this. Look just above the egr valve and to the right as you look under your bonnet. You will see the maf sensor (it has 2 screws holding it to the bulk head). Underneath you will see a rubber elbow. Your pipe should just push into it.
