Default 2.0 Zetec Conversion HELP

Ok Im building up my Mk3 Fiesta with a 2.0 Zetec, It should only be a week or two from being ready to go but I'm getting a bit worried about if its going to work or not. Ive tried searching but I can't seem to find a conclusive answer.

The car has an RS1800 loom from front to back, and I have a DESK ecu from a Mondeo. Will this setup work or will i have issues with the ECU being internal EDIS and the loom having a connection for an external EDIS module?

I think you need the loom to match the ECU - do a search as it's been covered.

As an aside, you may want to consider going OMEX or equivalent as you will need aftermarket management if you modify it a lot

Trying to find some of the posts on fiestaturbo now but I have to wait til an Admin makes me a member.

Have been doing a bit more digging myself and it looks like I can either modify the loom or run a 130 Spec ECU from an RS1800. Performance differences are meant to be minimal.

Oh and had a look at OMEX but its just not affordable at the time being. maybe next year. Thanks though

If you want to run a desk ecu then you need a internal edis loom from a fiesta si.

Although rs1800 management will run it fine.
