Default 1.8 Zetec

Hi,
got a strange fault with my Focus 1.8 Zetec..
only when started from cold & intermitent.. it will rev to 4500 and then stay at this rev band until switched off.
has happened twice now.. any idea's..?

thanks fella's i will check both..
the idle speed control valve.. is that on the inlet manifold and a fcuker the take off..?

never done a focus, but if its anything like the mk6 scort... yes
