Default more cosworth probs ? odd one please look

hey people since iv own my cosworth its had a few probs, 2days ago i pulled in got fuel and car just refused to start ? no fule pump prime ...
anyways got on the phone to paul (graceland) and over the phone said phase sensor , ordered one from msd ordered plugs at the same time from matt lewis , all turned up to day got the fitted cossie fired straight up
took it for a drive done 5 miles but was poping every time i left off and kicking a few big bangs and flames .. pulled up at my mates place down the road from were i was for some were to check everything was on right and it started to rev madly by its self from 2k up to sorta 3.5k up down up down up down.. turned the car off tryed to start it agen nothing just banged like the timing was out and kept making a big clonking like the starter moter was jamming checked made sure everthing was as it should be (timing and crank sensor both looked fine ) tryed a few more times still the same, put the old phase sensor back it fired fine 1st time but still with this new clonk noise and had a miss fire around 3k but got me home , new plugs were gapped to 0.7mm ..
if any one could shead any light on this please help , want to book it in at msd for a check over but im not driving 200+ miles in a car that is unreable
thanks

plenty of places closer to you
Mad
power engineering
NMS
reyaland
turbosystems
msd
etc etc
not a big issue for any of them to sort it out for you
check your phase sensor gap and timing, the dissy shaft for wear and the loom for dodgy connections
check the dissy cap and rotor arm
check the crank sensor and associated wiring
