hi all, i am new to this forum so apologies if this topic has already been discussed. I have a 2004 ghia x tdci saloon mondeo. lovely car-or at least it was until now!

Basically the remote (and i only have one vehicle key) doesn't work at all, cant unlock or lock the car. i've changed the battery but it still doesn't work.

the worse problem is the central locking unlocks itself and lowers all the windows of its own accord. i've took the fuses for the windows out so the windows don't go down as a temporary fix for that. The major problem is the central locking unlocking and locking itself. the key will work in the drivers door to lock and unlock the car but even then the central locking sometimes unlocks itself. plus there seems to be a delay to start the car or the alarm will go off!

any idear what the fault could be/ how to solve it and most importantly- HOW MUCH!
