hi i have a escort gti and sometimes when i floor it in second or third or drop to second hard it smokes ,but runs fine normaly,no over heating ,its like a oily smellin smoke ,more white then blue tho ??? any body shed some light thanks

 

its only a normal 1.8 zetec at end of the day even if the badge says GTI, could be worn rings or valves

 

ok is it a costly job ,how would i know if it were that ?

 

a good garage should be able to test whats at fault before spending any £ on it
