Default Fuel Line leak xr3i

Hi everybody. I've got a 90 mk 4 efi xr3i and its been making a loud hissing noise from under the car for a while now. Sounds like a puncture but i've discovered that its the fuel line. It's where the plastic pipe from the fuel tank clips on to the metal line that runs to the engine. It's a push on fitting. I only went to check under the car properly today because the fuel pump has started getting louder which i assume to be the fact that its working harder to keep fuel pressure. It has started to leak slowly at this fitting and i'm wondering is there anything i can put on it to re-seal it properly. It's been off a few times because of previous fuel pump issues and i assume it's just not as airtight as it was because of this. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Thanks for reply. I've chopped off the old fitting and just put on a section of pipe instead with jubilee clips either end. Done the trick.
