i had to brake to avoid a dog today, and when i pulled off, i had the muther of all miss-fires ? it won,t tick over, only surges and then stalls, it was ok b4 that...
car is 1991 saff 4x4 cossie 83,000mls, standard apart from exhaust.
only had it 3 weeks, am sad cos i luv it.....

 

sounds like somethings come loose on the electrical side

 

Could be a few things, map sensor problem posibly?!

 

started it 2day, and it starts ok, but wont tick over, and um, it smokes, but no smell of oil burn, just a rich mixture sort of smell ?? fuel? 2 much ? was only going about 10mph when it happened !
afraid to use it now..... HELP

Try your CTS/ATS connections are well on. in fact all sensors
