Default fuel return

i have just fitted twin 45s carbs to my 2.0 pinto, the original 32/36weber carb had a fuel return to the tank i am still using the mechanical pump with no regulator, have the carbs idling nicely and acceleration is smooth, i would like to try the fuel return out because i have a slight fuel leak from the carbs on idle and i`m not sure if they are over fueling have a few questions if anyone can help out

would there be any advantage of fitting a T piece between the mechanical pump
and carb one to fuel the carbs seperately, making them receive fuel evenly

would i fit a T piece between the carbs or before the carbs for a fuel return to the tank.

how could i restrict the fuel getting back to the tank and make sure more fuel get to the carbs would a jubliee clip on the return pipe work ?

cheers

chris.
