Escort turf

Ok here goes I'm helping my mate swap his Scort to manual, and unlike hat I told him to do he's just winged it and hoped for the best at the present moment box is in pedals set up but the throttle is where we are stuck, no idea how to set up the throttle to carb for manual, we removed the long bar from the bottom mount to the auto, What part is needed to set up the throttle cable? Any information would be massively appreciated or even better a link to a thread for someone else that has already done it.
