Default mondeo tdci turbo actuator promblem

i have a 2006 mondeo tdci ST 2.2 the car starts and drives fine if you take it easy, if you try to floor it say over 3.5k revs it will lose power and the glow plug light flashes. if you turn it off and re-start all is ok again.
opinions and the diagnostic says its the actuator so i bit the bullet and fitted a 'new' turbo and actuator. but i still have the same problem. could it be a faulty actuator or am i looking in the wrong place.
help needed please

sorry i dont know what you mean 'boost leaks' the car drives fine until you want that bit of extra power ie overtaking then bang loss off power and the light comes on, the car does'nt cut out though.

Boost leak - loss of turbo pressure from split intercooler hoses or intercooler itself.

Does car smoke (black smoke from exhaust) when you accelerate hard? Any juddering when you accelerate?

If you can find out the fault code number would be helpful.

no smoke and no juddering, if you are driving the car normally you would not think there was any problems, it drives fine, its only when you accelerate hard then it suddenly loses power.

Hi...

You may want to check the boost hose from the cooler to the EGR valve...
They're known for splitting, but the split only opens up or becomes apparent when on boost..! Get someone to blip the throttle while you check it out..!?!

It does sound odd though... Happened to me, which is why i'm now running Forge silicone hoses on my st tdci..

Hope this helps!!

I bought a very nice mondeo estate cheap that "needed a turbo", new intercooler to egr pipe later, and she ran fine.

The rubber hose that goes to the egr valve from the metal pipe of the intercooler.
Bottom front left of block to head as you're looking at it..
