Red face Ford fiesta engine replacement pls help me : (

Basically ill explain my situation and if anyone could help would be great and many thanks in advance,. Basically i have a mk6 2003 Fiesta finesse and trying to put a 2007 1.4 fiesta engine in it , apart from the obvious bit such as steering rack needs to be changed im almost there. I am debaiting thou what would i need to do with matching up clocks to ecu etc as the 2003 has standard clocks and the 2007 electronic. I dont want to have to change dash and loom etc if i can help it so does anyone know a way round this please or any advice.. i.e if i put engine in and keep clocks the same as original 1.3 and ecu original could i get it working or use 1.4 ecu and 1.3 clocks if someone looks into ecu and makes adjustments etc? PLEASE HELP! ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT...

Also what thinking maybe use a 1.4 mk6 ecu and clock from a 03 rather that a 1.3 set to see if this works? hmmm curious now...

Sell the engine you have now and get a matching engine for your vehicle.

This is what I thought, you shouldn't try to mix mechanical and electrical components without
doing a little research.
Why do you want a newer 1,4 engine?
