Default st170 looking dry under oil cap?? Advice

Hi i just did an oil change on my st170 and drained the old oil ...replaced filter and added 4.3 litres of comma xtech 5/30 oil

oddly the dipstick is showing around 6mm over max mark!??? Thats with Cold engine....and hot is about the same? The recommended capacity is apperently 4.5litres but im worried this will cause damage being over filled.

Most importantly ive owned bmws for the last few years and so was worried when i noticed the spotlessly clean camshaft and head (what little of it you can see with oil cap off on st170) and i could touch the camshaft with my finger and it fealt only very very lightly oiled (2hours after a ten mile journey after the oil change)

is this normal or is the visible part of the cam normally drenched and dripping with oil???
