Default ford escort rs2000 4x4

ive got a ford escort rs2000 4x4 and want to put a ford focus rs mk1 engine and gearbox in it for more power would it be possable to do

Yes its possible but you would need to use the rs2000 gearbox if you want to keep it 4x4 and the transfere box will last if its looked after and the oil level is kept where it should be.

Transfere box seems to be good for about 300bhp

the reason is i love the 97 escort cosworth wrc so much in the white and blue and i can not insure a escort cosworth so im gonna get a turbo in a rs2000 4x4 and get a cosworth body kit and wrc paint job so its a replica

Rs 4x4 are rare and getting rarer. Times you pay out on all the bits labour etc may aswell just go buy one

you can retain the rs2000 i4 lump, 300bhp from them is quite easy and may well be more cost affective.

best advice I can give is for you to join www.rs2000-16v.com and check out the turbo builds on there.
you will be suprised by the amount of development that has happend over the past few years with the rs2000 lump
