Default slipping ap clutch

I fit an ap-racing cp2000-8 clutch kit to my erst when rebuilding the engine.

I've just put my foot down for the first time after running in and the clutch slips on boost (anything over half a bar).

I got the kit from Burtons, has anyone else had this problem?

Im having the same problem i fitted a heavy duty clutch to my rs turbo cab and im having the same problem it slips when the boost kicks in.One thing i never did is i didnt fit the spacer plate bewteen the engine and gearbox i dont no if this has any thing to do with it slipping have u fitted it on yours?,I no the clutch pedal can cause problems there is a self adjuster on the pedal and if the teeth are worn it could make your clutch slip u can buy one off ebay its worth a try mate

Hi thanks for your reply.
Mine didnt have a spacer plate on before and it didnt slip then. I did have problems with the clutch ratchet, it wouldnt go into gear so i fit a mk5 pedal. Not sure why its slipping with a better clutch system on

I lifted the clutch pedal with my foot, accelerated and there was no clutch slip! I have conneced the spring between the mk5 pedal arm and pedal box, could this be the problem?
Thanks

yea that most likey your problem but also check that you have put the cable thru the correct hole in the box other wise it will stretch the cable causing the clutch to slip im sure it has to be in the outside hole the one closest to the n/s! also when you put the clutch cable on did u have to lever the arm back?

yes mate, the r/l bearing still presses the plate no matter how much the pedal is adjusted. must be in the wrong hole as suggested above

Did you have your flywheel removed and resurfaced before installation of the new AP clutch and disk?
