when i put headlights on engine stops, rear wiper comes on ,both indicator lights on dash come on and the two little white relays
at the back of the fuse box make a squealing sound.
also happens when i press washer jets also main beam light comes on on dash.
please help as i love my 3i and test is soon.

Sounds to me like it could be one of these...

Water in the Fusebox.... or
A damaged/burnt Column stalk switch assy (you been running high-power bulbs in it without relays?) .. or ...
Damaged wiring .. maybe got caught or pinched behind the dash somewhere between Stalks and fusebox underside.

 

You should also check all the relays/contacts (and fuses) for corroded blades
