Hi,

is there some trick to get this open for service? Or just brute force needed ?

Thanks in advance!

the top will unscrew but they are tight, try using two pairs of oil filter grips, the fabric seatbelt material type.

Thanks for the reply!

I tried to screw it earlier, but didn't get enough grip. Fortunately a pair of leather gloves helped

The reason I'm peaking inside is, it's starting to open at -0.5...Bar of vacuum. This is is messing up the idle speed and also allowing the unfiltered extra air into system at cruise mode. Since it has been used for years now, I recon the spring is a bit tired. The idea was just to stretch it a bit. A rookie hope to fix it

The other question.. now, when it's open, I see that, there is quite amounf of lubricant. This should be clean instead, I think ? I recon the lube got there because of the oil leaking turbo.

Is there some replacement springs available for this type?

The other idea.. coudn't I just add a washer there to tighten it up a bit?
