Cossie wont rev
PLEASE HELP!! Any ideas welcome! lol
Its driving me mental trying to work out why the hell my YB wont rev over 5.5k. engine spec below.
Long Stud 200 Block
Siemens 850cc injectors
Bosch 044 pump
Flowed Head
Double valve springs
BD14 inlet cam
BD10 Exhaust Cam
Piper vernier pulley’s
T38 Hybrid Turbo
dizzyless with Coil pack
Anti-lag
P8 with baby board
Airtec 70mm intercooler
10mm Plenum Spacer
Piper cone filter
Fully balanced
Ally flywheel
Gated, baffled sump
All hoses silicone
C57c plugs
Magnecore 10mm leads
Mongoose exhaust
Checked timing 10 times, changed phase sensor (runs nicer now, but wont still wont rev), new plugs, injectors, pump, filter, intercooler and even the pump wiring. Its on the rollers and the fueling looks great. just cant seem to get it to rev right
Its not misfiring, it just dies off lilke a deisel.
its had a lamda fitted to help with the fueling on the road. is there any way the lamda could be changing the ignition timing at those revs and dropping the power?
Trackday next week and I'm going to lose a bet at this rate.
Thanks, Paul

The car is fine up til 5500 rpm the the power just drops off, like a deisel does. It drives 100% fine apart from that. It only does this under load. it revs fine when at a stand still.
Checked the throttle cable. Had the lamda switched off in the ecu. Still the same.
Fitted a BD10 exhaust cam a little while ago, could that effect it like that if it was wrong? The cam timing seems is right and had a few people check it, maybe its a dodgy cam?

have you got a mate with another cossie that you can try and swap over parts?
you could spend hundreds guessing or you could take it to someone/tuner who will probably find the answer/problem very quickly. sometimes its a false economy trying to fix faults yourself
it could be lots of things, CPS, Amal Valve, injectors problem, ecu problem, chip problem.....

Hi bud, I know its a long shot but it happened to me! Check your fuel lines under the car for
bruising, impact marks: mine had been bashed and was not allowing full flow, no doubt youve tried renewing your fuel filter, some older cars have rust in the tank which can
cause fuel blockage. Same symptoms as mine! Cheers, Nomadrouse

Thanks guys.
I doubt it'll be the exhaust blocked as its a huge mongoose and the antilag would clear a dead body if it was stuck up there! lol. Although my dads V6 mondeo had a blocked cat once and that was SERIOUSLY slow. The Cossie is still producing 380 at 5000k. Worth a shot tho, I'll rod it to make sure.
I swapped the exhaust cam back to the standard one this morning. Its going back on the rollers on monday. hopefully it'll be sorted so they can finish the mapping!
I'll let you know what happens

What rollers was it on, surprised , a decent operator could spot and fix issue on the spot.
Go to a cossie specialist next time,
Tps or map sensor first port of call,
Presume it's a 3bar
