Default Flat Battery

The battery on my 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth is only holding charge for about a week. I have had the battery drop tested (no jokes) out of the car and then in the car to see if it is being charged by the alternator. The results were that the battery is showing 13.94v when the car is off, 12.43v when running with all the screens, blowers, radio on at idle and 13.39v when at 3000rpm. If you lock the car with everything off the battery has 0.6 amps being drained from it and im told the usual is about 0.1-0.3 amps for memories etc.

I have checked that the interior lights are out and they are, any other suggestions??

Please help

Could it be something to do with your alarm? If you leave it armed all week without using it wont help. Try isolating your alarm from the cars electrical system (With the isolating key if you have one? if not remove the feed) and see how you get on? Not saying that this will solve it but it may elimanate something if not??

The proper way to do it is to run an Ammeter from your battery and remove a fuse at a time until the ampage drops. Then investigate this circuit.

yeah I did it with my m8s 4x4 saph. he's kept going flat on a weekly basis and we tracked it down to the fag lighter circuit using that same method.

He removed the fuse and its been fine ever since! - I dunno if he ever looked into what was draining it though.

Well when i removed my cig lighter fuse it had already blown so i imagine i could count that out anyway. Is there any other circuits that are probable causes?

Do you have any stereo amplifiers in the car?

I used to have an amplifier which even though was turned off was still drawing so much power it would kill the battery in a week.
