The 1.6 zetec is different in design to the 1.8 and 2.0 so very little is interchangeable. Cams and throttle bodies would see the most gains. Have a look for fiesta zetec s tuning as I believe they have the same engine as your focus

Sorry my post was a little confusing. No standard Ford parts will make your car faster. You need to look into aftermarket cams and throttle bodies. e.g.

Your engine is the Zetec S! You can get around 140HP, you need exhaust, induction and cams, remap etc, this is a featured package from Shaw Speed, it's not that cheap however!

The similarity ends with the name with the larger engines (Zetec-E), they are completely different and bare no resemblance.

Zetec SE AKA Zetec S AKA Sigma, same engine!

Phase 1 engines, with the metal cam cover had Zetec S on the cover later ones, had the black cam cover which you will have with Zetec SE written in white/grey writing. Earlier models had this scribed into the cam cover

Example:

Your engine:

Phase 1 engine:

This is the one and only avaliable engine in this capacity for the car, the 1.4 is also the same engine.

You need to discover how the speed is being raised, it can only do so via the ISCV or the throttle, unless you have an air leak else where. If the former then an incorrect input to the ECU will be telling the valve to operate in this way.
