Default What to use as a Cosworth Sump Breather Adapter??

Hi there, been searching on here for the answer to the above, but haven't found anything useful yet.

What do peope use?

Do people weld adapters/pipes on, or tap a thread on to the sump and screw something in?

Pictures would also be appreciated.

I believe I am right in saying the rubber tube that needs to connect to it is a -10, so has an internal diameter of 14.3mm and so the adapter/pipe would need an external of 14.3mm or close to.

All help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Graham.

Strangely I was going to create a thread to ask the same question, as although I have an uprated breather (It breaths to atmosphere), a boss has never been welded to the sump, I was going to ask how much it would cost for someone to do this.

I am pretty sure this is the only way to do it, I haven't measured mine etc, so we will leave that for someone who knows to answer.

Hi Martin, hopefully we'll get a response from someone then. I'm thinking about welding a 90 degree piece of aluminium tube on (obviously below the oil level).
