Will be ISCV that is causing the problem most likely, so you need to confirm this is working first.

Check the 3 pin plug on the map sensor for corrosion. And the wiring at the pins for breaks.

and check the phase sensor gap in the dizzy. 0.2-0.3mm bud. and check the wiring at the pins there too for breaks/corrosion.

hope this is of some help to you.

i just fixed my mates saph that had the same thing as you.

Regards, Stephen

cheers for replys, was oiut in garage tinkering with car last night and found the idle control valve was slack, i removed it and cleaned carbon from it, refitted it and secured it properly and hey its idling properly now..
took it for a run into peterhead tonight and it runs very hot, i reckon its because the intercooler sits at the front and blocks the cold air getting to the radiator.. i have twin fans fitted at front of radiator but i think i will have to fit a scoop to the bonnet or get the bonnet raised at the back to let some heat out..

What do I win haha?

Heat will be your biggest problem, it's bad enough on the Sierra, but imagine yours will be worse due to lack of space!
