Default Help with identitfying intercoolers!

Please help if ya can. Need to know what this intercooler is off,

is it from a 2wd cossie if so what year, and are there any different versions?

also it would be a great help if people could post pics of cossie intercoolers out of the car, and say what car they come from?

reason for asking is quite complicated, I'll explain later.

thanks again cheers

I'll tell ya what ive done now,

I made the intercooler on Krystis ka, from what i thought was a 2wd cooler, got the measurements of the end caps and designed new end caps to be cast so i could weld them on the cooler core and it would fit the KA like it was made for it.

(get me so far?)

Krystis car has been done for ages now and had no probs, and i get loads of emails asking me where did i get that cooler from, and can i make others for people to do the KA turbo conversion, so i thought id get some more castings made and get people that want a KA turbo intercooler to send me a "2wd" cossie intercooler to mod for them!

(think you know where this is going)

anyway....the first 2wd cooler comes through the post and i thought it looked a bit smaller than Krystis, luckily i realised b 4 i cut the ends off it.

Now i find out the intercooler i used for Krystis KA must have been a 4X4 one

The ends ive had cast are too big to fit the 2wd cooler

so

what do i do........

A ......... send the 2wd cooler back and get him to get me a 4X4 one
B ......... Get some end caps cast to fit the 2wd cooler

PS thanks for your help guys.....without you i wouldnt have found out that what i thought was a 2wd intercooler was a 4X4

PPS take it the 4X4 cooler is better lol?

Well tbh a 4b cooler ur lookin at about £80, so its wheter its cheaper for him/u to get some new end caps made and finding a 2wd cooler or just to get a 4b one to use the ones u have!!!

doh
If you have the ends cast for the 2wd cooler then you will have the option to mod 2wd and 4wd coolers. but this puts extra cost on you for the initial casting.

If you decide you dont want to do that dont worry about it and ill sort something else out, dont really have the cash at the mo to get a 4wd cooler to you.
