Hi - this is my first post - so hope it's OK/in the right place etc...

I have an 05 Focus LX 1.6

The engine management light came on a few weeks ago - fault code P0056 - something to do with a heated oxygen sensor. I noticed the light disappeared when the fuel tank reached the halfway mark. When I next filled the tank up, the light came on again immediately & stayed on until the fuel level reached the halfway level again. P0056 is the only fault code showing - I can't see any similar errors posted anywhere when I've tried googling it - does this sound right for a P0056 error code? I want to be sure I'm fixing the right thing before I start forking out!

how have you obtained the error code?

P0056 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 2 sensor 2
That would mean you have two catalytic convertors in the exhaust.
I doubt that for a 1.6. So get the codes read by something more reliable.
